About Bourke Builders

Bourke Builders was established in 1983 out of a passion for building energy efficient new homes, additions, and remodels and we remain an industry leader recognized as one of our area’s most experienced and knowledgeable green, environmentally friendly builders.

Our projects have been featured in the annual Green Buildings Open House, Republican and Daily Hampshire Gazette newspapers and in Fine Homebuilding Magazine.

In 1987 Bourke Builders won the national EEBA (Energy Efficient Building Association) award for Energy Efficiency for a home built in Hatfield, MA. Also, we're a proud member of NESEA (Northeast Sustainable Energy Association).

Owner Paul A. Bourke has written articles on energy efficiency for the Journal of Light Construction and has taught cutting edge seminars at JLC conferences.

Paul has trained building professionals on energy efficient, healthy building principles and techniques in the northeast, and continues to be personally involved in each of his company’s projects from start to finish.

Bourke Builders builds Energy Star qualified homes, LEED homes and complete remodels, and Zero Net Energy homes.

Beside New Homes, we also build Additions, Kitchens, Baths, Porches, Decks and do Light Commercial work, always paying attention to the details and using the best building practices. We welcome projects small to large with all types of budgets.

Owner Paul A. Bourke is an avid bicyclist and has been riding in the Pan Mass Challenge for the last 11 years. The PMC is a 192 mile 2-day ride to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of funds raised go directly to the Dana Farber. The PMC's mission is to help 'find a cure,' while serving those children and adults who are currently afflicted with this disease. The PMC is the largest and most successful single event fundraiser in the U.S.
