For over 25 years Bourke Builders has focused on the construction of new, custom, energy efficient homes. We were early pioneers and advocates for sustainable building, also known as green building. We are adept Energy Star contractors and are experienced in the construction of LEED certified homes.

Bourke Builders also works with clients who have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity). And most exciting, we are now building Zero Net Energy homes – houses without energy bills! We simply lower the amount of energy used, then off set that use with renewable energy production.

Our goal is to listen to your 'must haves', wishes and insights, then translate them into thoughtful design and construction within the realistic budget which we have discussed for your project. At Bourke Builders those who work on your design also specify, estimate, coordinate and work on the construction of your new energy efficient home. So our design/build process is an integrated, seamless, cost-effective way for you to realize your new custom home dreams.

As homebuilders we are happy to work with your architect/designer and also offer complete design build construction services. Our skillful, creative and flexible custom home design/build team works with a state-of-the art CAD (Computer Aided Design) program which generates 3-D plans, perspectives and 'walk-throughs,' so you can actually see how your design will look when constructed.

We have been building green for over 25 years, incorporating an expanding list of non-toxic products into the construction of our custom homes. Bourke Builders applies the same care to all of our carpentry from framing to fine finish work and cabinetry. We strongly believe that there is no substitute for skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. As they say, "the proof is in the pudding", and our work shows it, right down to that last brush stroke.

Land / Home Sites

We are happy to help you find and evaluate land for a home site, or to build on land which you own. Occasionally Bourke Builders offers our own sites for clients who wish to build with us. Bourke Builders works with surveyors, wetlands and sanitation engineers, town conservation commissions and boards of health. We will perform all necessary tasks leading to obtaining a building permit for your project.
